RRD acquires a second linerless line from ETI Converting Equipment

ETI Converting Equipment, a leading designer and builder of custom-engineered web converting, printing, and coating equipment, today announced that R.R. Donnelley & Sons Company (RRD) (NYSE:RRD), a leading global provider of multichannel solutions for marketing and business communications, has acquired a 26” linerless line to expand its linerless label’s capacity. This equipment will enable RRD to respond to the increasing demand for linerless labels at a very competitive price. Linerless labels are a new trend in the industry. Without a liner, PS labels are eco-friendly and offer improved cost controls and better productivity.

UNITED CAPS to Attend ProPak Asia 2019 for Third Consecutive Year

UNITED CAPS, an international manufacturer of caps and closures, today reported it is attending ProPak Asia for the third consecutive year. The show is scheduled for 12 to 15 June in Bangkok. UNITED CAPS will be located in the French Pavilion, Hall 103, Booth 22. The company is also celebrating its 80th anniversary in 2019. During the show, UNITED CAPS will offer briefings on its new manufacturing plant in Kulim, Malaysia, which will be fully operational in June 2019.

Beviale Moscow to be held in new location in March 2020

The exhibition grounds are centrally located in the middle of one of Moscow’s major parks. Proseal to be acquired by US corporation in £220m deal

Proseal - a leading provider of tray sealing technology to the food industry - is to be acquired by Chicago-based JBT Corporation. JBT, which is listed on the New York Stock Exchange, has signed a definitive agreement to acquire the company for a purchase price of approximately £220m, subject to regulatory approvals. The deal will allow Proseal to further expand its business by providing access to JBT’s global sales and service network. Closing is expected in the second quarter of 2019. Dow Schofield Watts Corporate Finance and Spinnaker Corporate Finance advised on the deal.

Dr. Johannes-Thomas Grobe new head of Sales and Service at KHS

Dr. Johannes-Thomas Grobe is to be the new head of Sales and Service at KHS GmbH. This has now been confirmed by the company’s supervisory board. The 53-year-old shall be moving from Dürr Systems AG, a machine and systems manufacturer for the automobile industry, to the Dortmund systems supplier. Dr. Grobe joins chairman Kai Acker and Martin Resch on the KHS Executive Management Board.

To date KHS has developed over 14,000 PET bottle and 7,000 preform designs under the auspices of its Bottles & Shapes™ program. The systems supplier has now expanded its holistic expert consultancy program for container design to include glass bottles and cans. Fast, reliable, inline format changeovers in particular are a major factor for bottlers. KHS assures just this when new products are launched, with Peterstaler Mineralquellen GmbH from Bad Peterstal-Griesbach in the Black Forest now also convinced of this fact. After investing in a new glass bottle line in 2015 the company recently decided to launch new glass bottles for its mineral water. The machine manufacturer from Dortmund was once again largely instrumental in the success of the project.
