Koehler NexPlus® Seal at the Center of Communication

  • Publicado el 25 de Mayo de 2020

Flexibility and creativity are the order of the day for brand communication in times when gatherings are prohibited, and trade fairs are being canceled. There are a lot of developments regarding flexible packaging paper products in particular, so Koehler accepted the invitation of the specialist magazine Packaging Europe to take part in a live broadcast on the topic of “Sustainable Materials, Innovation & COVID-19.”

The event, which was part of the magazine’s “Live Week,” was one of the itinerary items with which Packaging Europe is making up for the cancellation of the interpack 2020 trade fair. Yevgen Zolotkovski, Head of Sales Flexible Packaging Paper at Koehler, took part and made exciting contributions in particular on the topics of “Sustainable Materials and Innovation.”

An important point of discussion concerned the question of recycling packaging materials. The participants agreed that materials should not just be recyclable in theory, they should also actually be recycled. In this regard, of course, paper has an enormous advantage, since the recycling systems have already been established in many countries. In Europe, over 70 percent of the paper that is used is made into new paper. Recycling is not just a theoretical consideration here, as it is in the case of other materials.

Yevgen Zolotkovski focused particularly on the innovative barrier paper from the Koehler NexPlus® line of products. The Koehler NexPlus® Seal heat-sealable paper is now a standard part of the product portfolio and is produced in grammages of 45, 65, and 80 gsm. Other speakers included Kevin Vyse, Head of Technical at Rapid Action Packaging Ltd, Chakravarthi AVPS, Global Ambassador at the World Packaging Organization, Jocelyne Ehret, Packaging Strategist and co-founder of the right packaging, and Hery-Christian Henry, Head of Strategic Marketing and CSR at Wipak. The panel was moderated by Tim Sykes, Brand Director at Packaging Europe.

For Koehler, participating in a digital live event was a world premiere in the area of digital marketing. Yevgen Zolotkovski’s assessment is very positive. “In view of the current opportunities, our marketing department did an outstanding job in organizing this event for us,” he says. “With this event, Koehler has taken another step forward in digital communication.”
