DG Press celebrates 10th anniversary

Craft Beer China 2020: Postponement to 1-3 July 2020
The CRAFT BEER CHINA Conference and Exhibition, originally scheduled for 13-15 May 2020, will be postponed to 1-3 July 2020 due to the outbreak of coronavirus pneumonia. Since the industry needs time to recover and adjust after the epidemic, NürnbergMesse China, The China Light Industry Machinery Association and Beer Link have jointly decided that the CRAFT BEER CHINA Conference and Exhibition 2020 will be temporarily postponed to 1-3 July 2020 at the Shanghai World Expo Exhibition and Convention Area. The exhibition venue will remain unchanged. At present, the health and safety of all exhibitors, visitors and partners is our primary concern. Steel for packaging to be showcased at interpack 2020
APEAL, The Association of European Producers of Steel for Packaging, announced that it will host a stand at this year’s Interpack show in Düsseldorf, 7th - 15th May 2020. Alexis Van Maercke, secretary general of APEAL, said: “Interpack is the global meeting place of the packaging industry. Sustainability has never been higher on the agenda and as global interest in alternatives to plastic continues to grow, Interpack is the ideal platform to showcase steel as the model material for a 21st century circular economy.”

Beardow Adams Green Team spearheading new environmental initiatives
Beardow Adams, a leading global specialist in hot-melt adhesive technology, has further strengthened its environmental credentials by not only pushing the boundaries when it comes to inventing new eco-friendly products and services but also looking inwardly at their own processes. The latest inventions by the market-leading manufacturer include an adhesive that washes off PET bottles entirely in an alkaline solution, allowing them to be re-used 10 to 15 times over, and an adhesive used for pallet stabilization; the adhesive replaces expensive layer pads and reduces the need for an excessive amount of plastic pallet wrap.

PicoColour digital label press investment set to boost Syracuse’s capability
Syracuse Label & Surround Printing, award winning, New York based manufacturer of custom-made, printed products including flexible packaging, shrink sleeves and pressure sensitive labels has invested in a Dantex PicoColour UV inkjet digital label press to replace their aging digital press. The Dantex PicoColour will complement and markedly increase the company’s digital capability to an expanding customer base. The company will take delivery of the new press in Q1 2020.

Mitsubishi will show a fully recyclable barrier papers for food packaging
At Interpack 2020, the German manufacturer of coated speciality papers Mitsubishi HiTec Paper will present its barricote® portfolio of particularly sustainable barrier papers for food packaging. All barricote products are paper-based and fully recyclable. Water-based coatings enable combined multi-barriers against water vapour, grease/oil, oxygen/aroma and mineral oil migration (MOSH / MOAH).
